Introduction to Youth Work

Do your staff and volunteers work with young people? Or would you like them to?

Our Introduction to Youth Work course is a 6-session training programme that will develop your understanding and skills relating to youth work.

Each session provides an introduction to a different aspect of youth work, including both theoretical and practical applications.

Community Reporters

Community Reporters is all about empowering young people to have a voice and enabling them to tell their stories on issues that matter to them.

Young people will be trained to record and share their story using various formats such as professional cameras, flip cams, smartphones and tablets, as well as other creative ways such as art, drama and music.

Road Code – Introduction to Driving Safety for Young People

This course is designed to teach young people (14 – 17) who haven’t started driving about the hazards they might experience as a driver and to increase awareness of road safety in general.

The young people engage in discussions around road safety, watch videos on the topic, then experience what driving is really like in our two fantastic driving simulators.

Volunteering Training

GMYN’s Volunteering Training will inspire young people to access volunteering opportunities for themselves and bring the benefits back to your school, college or learning provider.

We offer 3 levels of volunteering training for young people, beginning with a 1- hour session and building up to bespoke one-to-one support.
