GMYN Membership Terms and Conditions 2019 / 2020

Joining GMYN as an organisational member indicates acceptance of our terms and conditions.

Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) is a registered charity (reg no. 1151897). We create opportunities so that disadvantaged young people can take steps towards a positive future

Training and Events

Membership entitles all staff working at that organisation to attend GMYN training and events which has been organised for GMYN members. The membership discount can only be applied if the delegates are members at the time of booking and at the time of the event. Membership discounts can’t be applied retrospectively to bookings. All places are allocated on a first come first served basis.

GMYN reserves the right to expel Members or to prevent any Member from participating in any event or from renewing membership if the Member puts the organisation into disrepute or if the Member is in breach of these terms and conditions.

Due to the variety of work GMYN undertakes, there are instances where we organise events and training for all organisations, or specific organisations. In these instances, GMYN members will have to undergo the same booking produce and payment process as other organisations.

GMYN holds the right to refuse the application of an organisation to become a member without having to give any reason for our decision. An applicant whose membership application is refused has the right to appeal to GMYN’s Senior Management Team.

In no event shall GMYN be liable to Members or to any other third party for any lost profit, or any special, incidental or consequential damages (however arising, including negligence) arising out of, or in connection with services, benefits and/or products supplied by GMYN.

Terminating Membership

If, for whatever reason, a Member wishes to terminate their membership, they must give 28 days’ cancellation notice of this in writing to GMYN.

Voting Rights

As a member of GMYN, you receive no voting rights within the organisation and will be classified as a non-voting (Associate) member.

The rights of a Member are connected to the specific organisation that completed the original membership form, their membership cannot be transferred or assigned. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
