Your local youth action team needs you!
You’ve heard the news. vinvolved teams are now working in every town and city across England with the aim of revolutionising youth action, participation and volunteering. But we can’t do it without the input of the people we’re working with – which is where you come in.
Youth Action Teams (also known as YATs) are teams of people aged 16-25 who work towards improving and increasing young people’s involvement in volunteering and community action. As you can guess, these projects are about a lot more than old-school volunteering… we’re talking street parties, podcasts and blogs, working with today’s media, campaigning on the issues that matter right now, switching on other young people to action and engagement … in short, projects led by young people for young people.
As a member of a Youth Action Team, you’ll be working with other young people from your local area to do all these things and more. Your local vinvolved team will give you the support you need to make things happen.
