Golborne Morris Dancers

Profile

The group provides a community based activity which gives children and young people the opportunity to learn Morris Dancing. Members have the chance to work as a team, build their confidence, self esteem, self discipline and respect for their peers. The group compete against Morris Dancing troupes from all over the Northwest and Wales.

Activities

Golborne Morris Dancers meet weekly for 2 hours at Golborne High School to practise routines where members are encouraged to help and support each other. The group attend weekly competitions during the season, which runs from February to September and the Championships held in October.

The group host three fundraising galas during the season with all proceeds from these galas going towards helping with the general running of the group. The group also perform displays in residential homes and at carnivals and fetes.

Opening times

The group practise on Wednesdays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
