The Greater Manchester Youth Network staff team are passionate about volunteering and most of us hold a regular volunteer role. To support staff, GMYN operates an employee volunteering scheme that allows staff to volunteer for up to four hours per month during working hours. The roles we currently hold include Police Special Constable, Samaritans Listener, Drama performer, Youth Worker, Volunteers' Newsletter Editor, and Fundraiser.
As well as our individual roles we often come together as a team to fundraise, this has included running the Manchester 10K several times, biking from Manchester to Blackpool, dressing as superheroes and money collections for a variety of charities. Our projects also often raise money for other local/national charities that our workers and beneficiaries help to support.
