transitions-finalTransitions is a brand new project based in Manchester aimed at engaging and inspiring 16-25 year old care leavers through a wide range of volunteering activities delivered by Greater Manchester Youth Network.

The project aims to offer exciting opportunities for young people to take part in, and take ownership of, a number of social action and community based projects, training and volunteering.

The programme will be designed to support the young people to build confidence, develop new skills, increase their independence and well-being and ultimately improve their life chances and future employment opportunities.

The young people will be supported to engage in the project and will be encouraged to give ideas for activities. They will be able to access one to one support as well as group activities.

This project will help young people better understand, and believe in the values of volunteering and the benefits it can have on both themselves and the wider community. This will hopefully open new doors into future opportunities in either further volunteering, education, training, employment or self-employment.
