vinvolved team Oldham
The Oldham vinvolved team officially took up residence at Medtia Place, home of Positive Steps and Connexions, on Monday 11th May. Since then they’ve been busy letting partners around the borough know about the vinvolved programme, and working out how we can best work with young people around the town.
The team is made up of Fiona Pickles, Development Manager for Oldham, alongside Micaela Wiencke and Richard Millington, who take up the role of Advisers.
Fiona will be working with organisations to develop new opportunities for young people who want to get involved in volunteering, while Micaela and Richard will be working with young people around Oldham to help them find opportunities that match their passions and interests. We’ll be working with as broad a range of organisations as possible to make sure we’ve got all bases and interests covered; from sports to arts to music, care and events and youth work, working with some of society’s most vulnerable groups, to helping us with our Oldham Youth Action Team… we’ll be working on providing something for everyone.
